    Sutter Davis Hospital Nationally Recognized for Making Positive Change in the Health Care Industry      11-01-2007

    Davis, Calif. (November 1, 2007) - Sutter Davis Hospital is the recipient of Studer Group's November Fire Starter of the Month Award and is being honored for its commitment to clinical, service and operational excellence.     In a special recognition ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 1, Quint Studer, President and Founder of Studer Group, presented Sutter Davis Hospital with the Fire Starter Award. Yolo County Supervisor Helen Thomson offered her congratulations to the employees and physicians of Sutter Davis Hospital, and presented a declaration from Yolo County naming Nov. 1 as "Sutter Davis Hospital Day."

    Sutter Davis Hospital's inpatient satisfaction has consistently been above the 85th percentile this year, and its Birthing Center is consistently in the 90th percentile. Employees enjoy working for Sutter Davis Hospital, as indicated by the latest employee satisfaction results, which places it in the 90th percentile in the Hay Group database. Sutter Davis Hospital's physician satisfaction has been above the 90th percentile on both Jackson and Press Ganey surveys.

    • Service - Service excellence teams have developed initiatives to enhance the patient experience through improvements in the Emergency Department, Ambulatory Surgery and Medical/Surgical/ICU.
