Ongoing Programs - Community Benefit
Sutter Davis Hospital Foundation
Since its founding in 1990, Sutter Davis Hospital Foundation & Community Board has received gifts for Sutter Davis Hospital. The generosity of people has made health services available to the greater community, helped build the new hospital, purchased advanced equipment and provided education resources to the staff and community.
Community Benefit Programs
Yolo Perinatal Program
The Yolo Perinatal Program is a midwifery program that provides prenatal care and education to Medi-Cal eligible women. Sutter West Medical Group provides medical directorship and oversight for the program.
Medical Library/Resource Center
Dr. Leo A. Cronan was instrumental in developing the original medical library at Sutter Davis Hospital. Upon his death in 1986, Mrs. Cronan requested that the Cronan Memorial Fund be established to maintain the library. Dr. Thomas Vaughn was a popular local physician dedicated to preventive health and education for his patients. Upon his death in 1986, family and community members erected an educational display in his memory. That display along with the Cronan’s generous gift has grown into what is now the Vaughn Resource Center and Cronan Medical Library.
