    Infusion Center
    Sutter Davis Hospital

Infusion is the process of providing a patient with fluid, blood or blood product, a drug or nutritional product directly into the bloodstream. For patients who need infusion to treat illnesses or counteract side effects of treatment, Infusion Services at Sutter Davis Hospital provides pleasant, convenient outpatient care.

We provide infusion services for chemotherapy, blood product transfusions, hydration, total parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, iron, immunoglobulin, or other therapeutic agents. We use the latest treatment regimens and techniques, delivered by experienced oncology and infusion nurses.

    Services
Sutter Davis Hospital Infusion Center is part of the Sutter Health Sacramento Sierra Region network and is affiliated with Sutter Cancer Center. We provide all our patients with assessments, educations and nursing services by infusion nurse specialists and clinical pharmacists. We provide the following services:

    • Infusion Medications
    • Chemotherapy
    • Blood transfusions
    • Hydration
    • Remicade
    • IV antibiotics
    • TPN
    • ImmuneGlobulin
    • Inotropics
    • Injections
    • IV solumedrol

Our specialists focus on the continuum of care with our patients and view their medical history, monitor lab levels and evaluate the medication delivery system for each patient. Our staff also communicates with the physicians, home health nurses (VNA), the hospital providers and other services that are involved in each patient’s health care. We work with each patient’s health care team to identify which acute care patients will need infusion therapy at discharge, provide alternative, low-cost sites for administration of IV services, prevent hospitalization and shorten length of stay at acute care sites.
